Well, this was it, then, wasn't it? Once again, they'd reached the last relative day of peace and quiet before the new students shuffled in and workshops got back into full swing. //I was in th'mood to play, and thought, for once, that it would be a bloody shame to keep it to myself,// Jono admitted. Both the angel and the devil on his shoulder nodded in solemn agreement. He'd wound up with a pair of enablers, apparently. //I'd ask if you had any requests, but I don't think you know much of the music that I do, really.//

But she did like what she was hearing when she came in, so she nodded her head, encouragingly, because she did love music, and it might help drown out what was coming from her shoulder, oh my gosh. Ariel wasn't a prude by any definition, but yeesh.

//Yer liking this one, then? Should I play more like it, or maybe branch out a little? I have a fairly decent repertoire, after all.//

Ariel smiled, shrugging her shoulders a little. Anything he played, really, she was pretty sure she'd enjoy.

Jono's personal devil suggested that he play something intense, and his angel much preferred something mellow, and Jono really had to wonder if there really was such a thing as good and evil in music, and then he'd dismiss the both of them as a pair of idiots, and he'd play some Bush to spite them both.
//So,// he said, conversationally, his eyes on his fingers while he played, //am I the only one with a pair of plonkers sitting on my shoulders, completely incapable of agreeing with one another today?//

//I suppose that means you can't see mine, either? Probably for th'best, I suppose. They're both insufferable.//

//Tell me about it,// he scoffed. //At least all mine have had to argue about since I came in here was what music I ought to play, next. I can't fault either of them for their taste in music, I suppose.//

Case in point, both of Jono's yelling //Free Bird!// in perfect unison, and then attempting to wage a battle with one another around his face using their respective psionic flames over who called it first.

For a moment, Ariel lit up like a lamp; clearly, she did not even think of the sock drawer option.
But then she deflated in dismay. That wouldn't work at all. She'd hate to do that to her poor socks.
She liked socks. They were utterly fascinating things.

//There's always the loo,// he added, giving pointed glares toward one shoulder, and then the next. //But they might clog up the plumbing, tempting as it is.//

So she bit her lip. She tapped her chin a little. And then, an idea brightening her up, she pointed hopefully to the prospect of the window.

//Th'window, hm?// He looked almost wickedly at his shoulders again, and then was practically beaming again as he looked back Ariel's way. //We'll have to do something about those wings, of course.//
What good was a sheer drop from the fourth floor if there was the ability to fly?
