Thanks to baking class today, there were plenty of cupcakes to go around for anyone who showed up today. They were also very...interestingly decorated, but fairly heavy on the frosting, so all was well. To help Magic and Support learn to work together better, there's a group activity. The leaders are now armed with glitterballs--balloons full of glitter that will burst on impact and do what glitter does best: cover people from head to toe.

There are several tasks that need to be performed: sandwiches need to be made, first aid kits assembled, and a code must be broken and then spoken aloud to make the leaders stop flinging glitterballs. However--anyone who gets glitterfied is considered out--they can no longer participate in the activity. So people should decide whether they want to help finish the tasks or defend the taskers from the imminent glitter attack!

There are plenty of toppings and bread available: peanut butter, jelly, marshmallow fluff, cold cuts, cheese, condiments...

And little plastic baggies, of course.

Robin decided to go with making sandwiches first. Later he might go for the first aid kits. He could deliver those and sandwiches at the same time.

Being tiny didn't help when the combatant knew you were there. And the was another ball being sent just a little higher than the first one, in case Robin decided to dodge the first by jumping.

There are several plastic boxes and a whole bunch of supplies. Each box has a list of what should go into each box, including quantities. Make sure each box is packed right!

Claire decided to work on packing first aid kits. She kept a wary eye out for wayward glitterballs as she worked.

Maybe all those lazy Sundays spent tossing a football around with her dad and Lyle would come in handy if one came her way.

It was a good thing she did, as Karla was cheerfully flinging a glitterball in Claire's direction.

First-aid, Warren could do. The lists helped, sure, but considering the family business and all, it wasn't as though figuring out what was supposed to go into a first-aid kit was much of a stretch for him.

For all the good that it would do against potential incoming glitterbombs, Warren had his wings spread and curled around him just enough to keep them from hitting him in the face.

Did he really want all that glitter in his wings, though?

Cassidy saw these and did her best to get in between the balls and Warren with her shields.

Warren, meanwhile, blinked up with wide eyes, pulling his wings a little closer around himself.

"Hey, now! That'll take forever to get out of the feathers!" Really. The chocolate syrup rain would have been bad enough, if it wasn't for Bobby's help.

He gave Cassidy a little grin and a nod in thanks as he realized that she was stepping in to help, and then he turned his attention back to the first-aid kit.

Cassidy grinned back and stayed at his back to make sure he didn't get attacked again while he was working. For this activity, he was her charge and she wasn't letting him get glittered.

Chloe had been watching Karla as she worked and when she saw that balloon coming toward her, she was definitely dodging out of the way.
