Combined Magic/Support Reserves Meeting, The Preserve, Wednesday Afternoon

Thanks to baking class today, there were plenty of cupcakes to go around for anyone who showed up today. They were also very...interestingly decorated, but fairly heavy on the frosting, so all was well. There were also assorted pastries and things from J,GoB in case anyone got tried of cupcakes and wanted something else

Karla whose mun just spaced this, even after doing the damn OCD had to finish her cupcake before introducing herself. "I'm Karla, and I'll be a sophomore in the fall. I've been a leader for the Magic Reserves since last summer and my people, the Blood, use Craft in their everyday lives. We don't even think about it, it just, well, is. I belong to several castes back home, which means in addition to basic Craft, I can Heal bodies, minds, hearts, and the land itself. I can also do a variety of things like shield, create fire, blast things with energy, airwalk, fly, and a bunch of other stuff."

For a second it looked like Tara might just freeze, totally unable to speak. Luckily, the words came fairly easily once they started coming.

"Hello," she said. "M-my name is Tara Maclay, and I'll be a junior in the fall. I've been learning magic since -- forever. My mom's a really powerful witch." She sounded proud, as she usually did in discussing her other.

"In my world, magic's a craft almost anybody can learn, even if some people will always be better than others. I can do ... um, basic spells, charms, some illusions, and I'm getting better at telekinesis. I'm in 223, if anybody wants to see me outside meetings."

Whew. That was everything.

Kennedy gave her a huge, encouraging grin as soon as she was done speaking-- because she knew how not fun that was for Tara-- and blew a kiss at her.

"Hello," Raven said shyly, competing with Tara for Shiest Leader of the Reserves. "My name is Raven, and I will be a junior when classes begin in the fall. I am an empath and a healer. I am also a pacifist, and as such I do not participate in fighting, but I will do everything I can to help without resorting to violence. I am able to heal any injury, and I also possess the ability to teleport myself and others to safety."
