Tim had blown up a papaya, defended the cafeteria from redecorating Vikings and had generally had a pretty interesting day, not even considering who his P.E. teacher was. He just wanted to relax for a bit without worrying about the space-time continuum, so he microwaved a meal he'd found in the freezer and turned the TV on to a NASA special on

Leda had spent much of the day hiding. But finally the need to not be in her room became too much to resist.

"I picked a hell of a time to quit drinking." she sighed, going for the coffee.

"Bad day?" Tim asked.

"Anyone warn you about Gremlins yet?" She was guessing he was new, as she didn't recognize him.

"Yeah, I got a bunch of warnings at the picnic," Tim said.

"They got me."

"Oh yeah? What happened to you?" Tim asked.

"I thought I was someone named Elvira making a re-make of some movie."

"That can't be so bad," Tim said.

"You ever seen a picture of Elvira?" Leda'd had to look her up. The dress wasn't so bad but that hair? "Oz got the worst of it though. He did most of the talking."

"Goth lady from late night movies, right?" Tim said. "I don't know who Oz is."

"Oz is a townie. Works a a few of the shops. And yeah that's her."
