As much fun as Karla was having, flinging water balloons around, it was possible to catch her to talk.

Tony was in a good mood and totally willing to hit you with a water balloon. Talking was also an option.

"Excellent!" Karla grinned, then glanced around to make certain that there were no little birdies (particularly of the blonde variety) nearby to listen. "What do you say about confounding Miss Detective, huh? Making her think that her party is on the sixth floor instead of at Caritas?"

She briefly outlined the plan that she and Momoko had hatched the night before.

Karla did her best to look wide-eyed and innocent. "Why, Tony, I don't know what you mean! I'm just trying to be helpful!"
