Fifth Floor Common Room [evening]

Despite the fact that Puck was still nursing his wounds from the other night, he decided to actually make an appearance in a common room tonight. He brought his guitar out with him to tune, idly plucking out chords as he ignored whatever was quietly on the TV

Bruce was heading to his room when he heard the sound of a guitar. His first instinct was to keep going. His second instinct was to stop and glare at the noisemaker until he stopped.

He ended up going with his third instinct to prove to Jean that, yes, he did get out occasionally, even though he had studying to do for a final tomorrow.

"I didn't know you played," Bruce said. Not that he had any reason to know. He was still going to make not of this anyway. Turning to the rest of the room, he said, "Good evening."

"I play," Puck said with a nod, tossing off a little wave to Bruce. "Just not recently. 'Sup?"

"Not much until after my finals are over," Bruce said. "Fortunately I only have one more."

"Lucky. Mine don't start 'til Thursday," Puck sighed, plucking out a few random chords and then tuning the guitar a bit more.

Bruce bit back the desire to ask why Puck was playing guitar instead of studying. "It's a nice side effect to picking classes during the first half of the week," Bruce said. "What are you taking?"

"People Suck, and Battles that Changed History," Puck replied, clearly showing no sign of being stressed about either final. "You?"

"I had Ethics today and Magic tomorrow," Bruce said. "You really have those classes? It seems like a strange combination."

"Eh. They're fun. I like hearing about guns and learning to deal with obnoxious people."

Guess what, Puck? You're one of those types of people.

"I was wrong. That's a terrifying combination," Bruce said.
