Chocolate falling from the sky?

Now this was new for Clark.

"Anybody got some graham crackers?" Clark couldn't help but wonder, catching a marshmallow in his hand and letting the chocolate rain coat it before he stuck the combination in his mouth.

There were worse ways to spend a fire drill.

"See, why didn't I think of that?" Dinah said aloud, looking around for Karla, who could maybe get some for them, then grinning up at Clark.

"Hey, I'm the one who feels unprepared now," Clark told her, licking some chocolate that dripped on his lip. "Full as the showers are gonna be when we get back inside, this is already a better drill than last time."

Dinah snickered, and took a moment to admire the chocolate-streaked picture he made, then said, "Much better. At least we're not freezing, and I guess it's too bad if you don't like chocolate, but..." She licked off her fingers again, then caught a marshmallow and held it up to get coated. "Island weirdness makes everything better."

Granted, Clark had not been all that cold last time, but it had been annoying that everyone else was and he couldn't really help. "I don't know, Dinah, not all island weirdness is better. But I'll take some candy rain over acid rain any day."

"Seriously. Man, I am going to miss this place, but not the sudden turns into stuff that can hurt you without warning so much." She popped the marshmallow into her mouth, and asked indistinctly, "You staying the summer?"

"Yeah, much as I'd like to head back to the farm, Fandom's probably the best place for me," Clark shared, catching and popping another marshmallow into his mouth. "They make you seniors head out right away?"

Dinah shook her head. "Uh-unh. Jen stayed 'til July. And I think a couple others were here 'til August. Plus I promised Momoko I'd be here for her birthday on the Fourth. I might go home for a week or two in there to get ready for college stuff first, though."

"Oh awesome, holiday birthdays and I heard there's even a sort-of camping thing, right?" Clark was not so bright, but he sure was pretty all covered in chocolate, hair sticking up.

Very definitely. Dinah had to grin at his enthusiasm as well as the chocolatey goodness. Liiiickable. Which made her lick her own fingers in order to keep that thought under wraps. "Yup. Last year it was right after the new kids arrived. Two weeks in the cabins in the Preserve. IT was fun, campfires and outdoor things, and then two weeks later in the summer too."

"Cool! I think I could dig that, hanging out with campfires," Clark decided, happy with this news. "Unless there's singing," he frowned suddenly.

Dinah snickered. "No, not much singing. I think there was a workshop for that, but otherwise, people just hung out and ate s'mores." She popped another chocolate-coated marshmallow in her mouth. "So we've got a head start on that."

"Workshops for singing. And I thought classes in magic were weird," Clark replied with a shake of chocolatey hair. "I dunno, we're missing that key melting part."

If only someone had a way to heat the marshmallows. Sad.

So very sad!

"We could squish them in our fingers until they're sticky, but it's not the same," Dinah had to admit. She tried it anyway, then set about licking the stuff off, grinning. "Don't have a lighter on you, do you?"

"Oh, I don't smoke," Clark answered a little sheepishly as Dinah went after the gooey mess on her fingers.

"Me neither," Dinah said, biting the stuff off the pad of her thumbs. "'S too bad. Not that I'd bring a lighter to a fire drill." She shot Katchoo and Karev considering looks. "I wonder if the hardcore smokers did?"
