The Sixth Floor, Friday Afternoon (Pre-Dance)

Once again, Emma had taken over the sixth floor, setting-up spots for hair and make-up, as well as making sure there were lots of snacks to munch on while people got ready. She was 'helped' in all this by a terrier puppy who was running around, supervising all the details.

For those in-need of hair or cosmetic assistance. Emma's brought up her box of styling supplies, and some of her extra/cast-off make-up, that anyone can use.

Triela showed up a bit early. Her dress wasn't a problem by now. The skirt was long enough to cover a thigh holster and short enough to be easy to move in.

Which helped offset the fact that she was showing so much leg.

Anyway, the dress was fine. But she knew she needed help with hair and make-up, and Emma was one of the few people she trusted on that front.

"Better," Emma said approvingly, casting an eye over Triela's dress. "Now, what are we going to do about your hair?"

Triela managed a slight smile before she shrugged. "Looking anything other than professional isn't really my field," she allowed.

"Maybe... I don't know... what would you do?"

Emma looked Triela over again before grabbing a curling iron. "Something simple that you can do yourself, should you ever have the need," she replied dryly as she pointed to a chair. "Sit."

Orders were good. Triela could do orders.

"Is it hard to use one of those?" she asked, eying the curling iron.

Karla hopped up to give Triela a hug. She also knew the discomfort of showing way too much leg. "You look gorgeous," she whispered in her ear. "Very grown up."

"Like I'm not going?" Karla said, impishly. "I'm not. Underclassmen strictly univited." She laughed a bit. "I'm here to soak up all the glamour second-hand, and watch some of my very bestest friends surprise themselves with how beautiful they are." She gave Triela a knowing look. "Because they are, you know."

A snort and an eyeroll were, perhaps, predictable responses there.

"Uh huh. And you're totally jealous of us and everything."

"Dreadfully so," she said, flopping backwards in her pretty but comfortable buttondown shirt and knee-length skirt. "I've missed out on hours of concern over what to wear, how to style my hair, and what to do about makeup. Just dreadful really." She laughed a bit and added, "I'd have liked to have gone, but only because so many of my friends are. It would be nice to spend the evening with all of you. But I have other plans, since you're all busy."

"I'm good," Karla promised. "I wouldn't trade even if we could. I've got plans, like I said." Plan that involved her wearing a big, stupid grin, apparently.
