Helen took Kianah to the common room where the wee one would have a bit more room to run around like the 3 inch tall crazy fennec fox she was. It was amusing to watch her dash around, investigating everything and then periodically throw herself to the ground and rest before jumping up and dashing around again

Jaina was bored, and hungry, and if she didn't get out of her room she was going to go insane.

She didn't quite count on the fight of a little... big ear thing running around, and found herself staring. And wondering if it wasn't some rodent type relative of Yoda.

Helen nodded to her. "Does Kianah bother you? I can have her come to me if you wish."

"No, just wondering what it is," Jaina said, still watching. This was why she needed a Jacen around. He'd know.

"She's a fennec fox," Helen explained. "She's only 2 months old and she'll always be rather tiny like that. Though I understand her ears will grow far larger."

"Really?" Huh. "How do they not fall over all the time with ears like that?"

Helen laughed. "I have no idea. Perhaps because she is generally either running too fast for them to catch up or flopped over catching her breath?"

"Big sister!" Puck said, waving at her lazily. "That's not a dog, in case you were wondering. I already found out."

"Who knew I could still learn new things at this end of the school year," Jaina said lightly, giving him a smile. "How's it going?"

"Good," he said, stretching. "And look, you even learned outside the classroom." He gave her a serious look. "Our teachers would be so proud."

"Yeah, it's amazing how that happens," she said. "I should be firmly in the throes of senioritis, I shouldn't be learning anything new now." Ha.

"What're you even doing here?" he wondered. "You should be off doing bong rips in like, Vegas. Or at least getting drunk on a schoolnight, Ms. Senior."

"...Doing what in Ve- Nevermind, I probably don't want to know," she said. "This is where the people are, that's what I'm doing here."

"You're not very good at having senioritis," Puck decided.

He knew what he'd be doing when he was almost home free.

"I didn't say I had a very severe case of it," she pointed out. "But I do have a mental countdown to graduation." That wouldn't go away.

"That's so sad," Puck said woefully, clutching his heart. "What will I do without my big sister?"
