"I'm Chuck, still a freshman," he introduced, while he scrambled to come up with anything manly he'd done.

"And... recent macho. I kicked a gremlin, you know, when they were around and bitey the other week." So what if he'd screamed like a girl first. No one needed to know that.

"Chuck, you came back!" Hannibal enthused, grinning. Not that he hadn't thought Chuck would but still, he could be excited. "Kicked a gremlin, huh? You're about on par with me. I was hitting them with a baseball. No bites, right?"
