Cheerleader Tryouts -- The Gym, Sunday Morning

Savannah got to the gym early to set things up for try-outs. She had mats and tables pulled out, with refreshments available for both the current cheerleaders and those trying out

Encourage each other, drink caffeine and sugar, what have you. Current cheerleaders and hopefuls both. Make the hopefuls feel welcome!

Sunday mornings were not Hannibal's peppiest time so anyone expecting any high energy actions were going to be left out in the cold. Hannibal would be on the mats, stretching but he was more trying to wake up than anything else.

Didi didn't have much idea what she was doing here, other than that it seemed like a funny idea at the time. So she was pretending to stretch, but mostly just watching everyone else to see what they did.

"You're signing up?" Elena asked, with a grin. "It's a pretty fun work-out, even if I feel silly in this outfit."

"I'm trying out," Didi agreed. "Angela promised I could stay in black, and it's kind of a cool idea? Trying to make people happy."

She bent forward over her toes. "How did you get into it to start with?"

Elena laughed. "My big sibling talked me into it," she explained. "And there were hot guys wearing cute uniforms, so I went with it. We can wear black? Is that just you, or anyone?"

Hey, Elena liked black.

"I didn't really ask if I was getting an exception or what," Didi admitted. In point of fact, she'd wear black no matter what the uniform looked like. The ankh didn't come off, either. It was A Thing. "Wanna join me and be a cheerleader of doom?"

"Oh, I'd love to," Elena grinned. "Should I wear lots of eyeliner and bring cigarettes? We can hang out in the back and look bored."

"I don't smoke, but otherwise that sounds awesome," Didi told her, and looked around the gym. "So, how hard is it to get on the squad? Are people nice?"

"Not very, I don't think," Elena said, surveying the potentials. "I mean, I'd never done cheer before, and I got in fine. Also I think we need people right now, since most of the team's graduating. Everyone's pretty cool. Plus some of the guys are hot."

Taken, most of them, but still hot, and eyecandy wasn't against the rules.

"Not even," Elena laughed. "I mean, I'm seeing people, but it's very casual, not a dating sort of thing. I don't mind rude questions. You're with Jono, right?"

"I haven't seen him in a few days," Didi said, not sounding too terribly concerned. "I might just show up in his dorm room and surprise him."
