In Front of the Dorms, From Early Wednesday Morning

Dec 16, 2009 07:15

Calvin had been awake since before dawn, when some inner sense had informed him of the presence of the snow.

Since then, Calvin had been very busy. He was an artist who'd been deprived of his favourite medium for far too long, and once he'd realised that this wasn't any ordinary snow there had been no stopping him (even if Hobbes had decided to ( Read more... )

Priestly was all set to wander into town, but a) it was snowing, b) the snow turned his skin funny colors, and c) OMG DISMEMBERED SNOWMEN, SNOW-GREMLINS, AND HOLY CRAP WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING I THINK MY BRAIN IS MELTING.

He stared for a long moment, then finally managed to back slowly away before making a break for the dorms.

Today was a perfect day for staying indoors. Yes.

Anemone had headed out for her second period class with Centurion Max when she spotted the sculptures and stopped, absolutely delighted.

Each and every one was going to get inspected closely, and Anemone was going to try turning her own skin different colors with the falling snow.

She loved this island. So darn much.

Loving-crafted bits of dismembered snow-people lay scattered along the ground, along with the occasional snow head on a branch-pike.

There was also quite a lot of red snow over here.

A snowman who'd been sculptured with a scowl and long, flowing hair, had a number of smaller, greener snowmen with big teeth and pointy ears attached to it.

Any resemblance to any members of the faculty was purely coincidental.

Twisted and misshapen snow-beings lay prostrate before a giant, hulking snow-figure who it was probably best not to stare too long at, but which seemed to have tentacles and huge bat-wings.

Speak With the Artist not_tylerdurden December 16 2009, 12:38:37 UTC
Calvin kept working throughout the day, ignoring any strange looks he might have gotten (or smart comments from Hobbes). After all, most great artists weren't appreciated during their life times.

[Massive SP due to availability issues though.]

Between packing and classes, Cordelia hadn't been able to take her daily wander around the ground. Now she took it all in and shook her head. "Calvin, I could be nice and say I'm going to miss you, but I probably won't. At least you made things interesting though."

Calvin awkwardly ran a hand through his hair as he tried to come up with a reply, leaving bright streaks. "I guess there would have been worse girls to room with," he said finally.

Over on the steps, Hobbes was face-pawing.

"Right. You could have ended up with some girl who sleeps with her gun. Or a very large knife."

And in Cordelia's wonderful way of changing the subject... "Where are the vampire snowmen? Also, your tentacle guy needs some work, I think there was another row of teeth on the one that came out of the library floor."

Ahaha, Calvin! I'd send Tony by but, ah, he saw a guy that was ripped apart for reals just this weekend and would not react well. So I'll just have to appreciate it OOC.

I've been laughing over "Snowthulu" for hours already.
