Just like yesterday, Dr. Alex Karev was back in the clinic, tending to the sick, the comatose, the pregnant, and the people that just needed a place to conveniently socialize. Dr. Lily was back on call today! She wanted to be sure to see all the patients today, to make sure they didn't have terrible rare diseases in addition to their comas.

Alex, grumbling all the way, made his way over to Dr. Lily and said. "You're being requested."

Wasn't like he wanted to treat the gross guy. Dr. Lily and her boobs could handle it.

Griff needed a doctor, but not just any doctor. He carried a plate of fresh cookies into the waiting room, fingers on his left hand bandaged haphazardly and very obviously looking in need of real attention. "Hey! I made cookies!"

"Oh, that," Griff said, shrugging his shoulders a little and tucking his injured hand behind his back in shame. "Just a little burn, nothing serious."

"Does it hurt?" he asked, taking the plate of cookies and dropping them on the counter before motioning to Griff's hand. "Let me see."

"No, it's fine, really," Griff promised, but he couldn't deny Alex a look or a hold on his hand. "I'm just clumsy as ever!"

"Why hasn't my wife come out of her coma yet!" he and his flowing hair demanded.

"Because she's very sick," Alex told him wearily. "We've tried everything but now it's all up to her. She has to fight."

"Damn it man!" Martin growled as he reached out to grab the doctor by his shirt. Again. "She only came in for a nosebleed! What's wrong with her? Cancer? Poison? A rare fatal blood disease? I want answers!"

"Assaulting me won't help her wake up!" Alex said, trying to squirm away and wondering what it was with this guy and grabbing him. "I won't be able to help her! And you need me! I'm the doctor, not you!"
