Since the island was apparently heading into massive Christmas mood and totally insistent that she wear the elf costume no matter how many times she'd changed during the day, Momoko decided to do some practice Christmas baking in the common room. Finding a recipe online for Christmas cookies wasn't hard to do, and the ingredients were all there, ( Read more... )

Yes, there had been an elf costume earlier in the day, but Lion-o had managed to ditch it in favor of his usual clothes. The bells on the shoes had driven him crazy.

He popped his head into the common room to see who was there. "Hey Momoko! You will not believe what happened to me at work this week," he shouted.

"Hey Lion-o! What happened?" Momoko turned happily at the sound of Lion-o's voice but pouted when she saw him. "Aw! You didn't get an elf costume either? I was totally wondering what you'd look like!"

"I did get an elf costume, but I made Snarf wear it," said Lion-o with a smirk. "Anyway, Professor Deadpool came into the diner yesterday, and... and he sang to me. It was weird."

"You got yours to stay off? Mine kept coming back all day, so I just decided to go ahead and wear it. Was yours cute? I totally have to see it if Mr Snarf is wearing one." She grinned, evilly, then shook her head. "So, wait. Professor Deadpool sang to you? Why?"

"I have no idea. It was really, really strange," said Lion-o. "Poor Snarf missed the whole thing. He drank too much of the eggnog on Tuesday and felt sick all the next day."

Momoko threw up her hands in protest. "Oh don't even mention the eggnog! It took forEVER to get that out of my hair! So that is so weird of Mister Deadpool. I didn't know he could even sing. Oh, wait, was this at the Cafe Fina? Maybe he was just getting into the mood of the restaurant with everyone else?"

"It would have worked if he was at Café Fina, but this was at Luke's Diner," said Lion-o. "There was no mood, unless you count the cook and the busboy hiding every time they saw me."

"That is totally weird, you're right. And all he did was sing? He didn't, like, say anything or ask questions?" She held out a plate of cooling cookies. "Want one? They're still warm!"

"Just sing, and that was it," said Lion-o, reaching for a cookie. "Poor Snarf is going to be sad he missed cookies, but he still has an upset tummy anyway."

"Aw! Poor Mr Snarf! You should make him some peppermint tea to feel better!"

"You!" Hayley said. "Big... kitty man!"

She was special, really.

"I am not a kitty!" said Lion-o, pouting. "I'm the Lord of the Thundercats. It's definitely more important than any old cat."

"Who said you weren't important?" Hayley said. "And you talk! You're the most amazing cat ever!"

"I am not a... Well, okay, I am part lion. I'll admit that," said Lion-o. "Other than that, I'm sure I'm just like all the other boys at this school."
