The Mexican food smelled really awesome to Lion-o, who was still hungry after Snarf tried to feed him something green and leafy for dinner. He poked his head in the common room entrance. "Pardon me, but where did you get that from?" he asked.

"The Mexican place," Bobby said, trying verrrry hard not to stare at this guy. And mostly succeeding!

"It has been a very long time since I've had Mexican food. It had to be before I went home for the summer," said Lion-o, who wouldn't have noticed the staring anyway. He was too busy listening to his stomach growl.

"So you're not a new kid, then?" he'd kind of been assuming that, since he figured he would've remembered seeing this guy around before. Lion-o wasn't exactly the type who could blend into a crowd.

It wasn't like Lion-o would blend in with the rest of the crowd.

"No, I was here for a year before going home from the summer. But I was a lot smaller then. I, uh, had a growth spurt over the summer," he said. "I am Lion-o, formerly of the planet Thundera."

"Bobby Drake, formerly of, uh... Long Island, I guess," Bobby introduced himself. "Which is here on Earth."

"I have been able to visit many places on your planet, but I have never heard of this Long Island," said Lion-o. "Is it anything like this island?"

"Really, really not," Bobby shook his head. "It's part of New York. And kind of boring. At least, the town I grew up in was."

"I have heard of this New York, but no one has told me what happened to the old one," said Lion-o. "Thundera was never really boring. We had plenty of tremors and volcanic eruptions until the planet finally blew up."

"...Blew up?" Bobby was a bit flabbergasted at that, as evidenced by the only thing he could think of to say in response was: "Harsh. I'm sorry, dude."

"But everyone made it safely off the planet before that happened," said Lion-o. "Actually, the Thundercats relocated to a planet very similar to this one. It has a lot more trees and lakes than we were used to, but so far it has been a good place to build a new home. I do feel a bit guilty that they're working hard at rebuilding and I'm here at school."

"Well I'm glad everyone's safe," Bobby said. "If you're here instead of there, though, obviously someone feels it's for a good reason, right?"

"The rest of the Thundercats convinced me that continuing my education here in Fandom was the best thing," said Lion-o.

"See!" Bobby said with a triumphant nod. "You're probably learning lots of stuff that'll be real important for when you go back home!"

"I hope so," said Lion-o. "I found many of the lessons in Professor Atreide's class last year to be very helpful."

"Whoa," Jennifer said, seeing Lion-O for the first time. "Hi. I'm Jennifer."
