Claire was still feeling restless and like being outside. Since she had been up to the roof last night, she decided to head out to the deck this evening. It looked like the sky might open up and pour at any moment, but she always did love a good storm.
"Hi," she said, settling into a deck chair. "Enjoying the potentially stormy weather?"
"I'm from North Carolina, so the weather's not that dissimilar," Peyton agreed. "But yeah, storms? Always nice. A s long as they're not hurricane-like."
"Pretty sure there aren't usually hurricanes this far north," Claire said. "By the way, I'm Claire. I know you were the TA for my Healthy Living workshop, but I don't think we ever officially met."
"Not always, but in this case, yes," Peyton said with a smile. "My days here are numbered and I'm going to have to go out and face the real world again."
"That's a really good question," Peyton said a little ruefully. "I was going to head out to L.A. and see about getting an internship with a record producer, but now I'm thinking I should do some college first, but it's a little late to get in, obviously."
"I'm thinking I'll go back home to Tree Hill, regroup a little and maybe apply for the January session somewhere," Peyton said. "I haven't actually been home since I got here a year ago."
She shrugged. "It was hard to figure out how to tell them there were other people from there who weren't them - the whole alternate world thing, I guess. Plus, my dad was there even less than usual and his times home never seemed to correspond to my time free."
"Hi," she said, settling into a deck chair. "Enjoying the potentially stormy weather?"
