Joan and Kate had worked all afternoon to transform the common room into a tropical paradise.

Kate had of course snagged herself one of the skirts as soon as Shilo had brought them, but had then had to go off to set up some more food before getting a chance to chat with the other girl more.

She wandered over to the skirt table now. "Thanks so much for these, Shilo, they're awesome."

"Thanks!" Shilo replied. "I hope they stay together all right. I just used pictures on the internet to figure out how to make them, after all."

"They look like they're gonna stay together fine to me," Kate said. "But I don't know anything about making clothes out of grass. They look really good, anyway.

Joan picked one and tied it around her waist. "I think they'll be good. And people are wearing clothes under them at least."
