Sixth Floor Kitchen - Thursday Afternoon

The events of last week had triggered Claire's domestic instincts so after a trip to town for supplies, she set up shop in the new kitchen, cooking up pounds of pasta and three different kinds of sauce - a regular tomato, a four cheese and a pesto.

She also had salad and hot, crusty Italian bread.

Elle didn't have classes or a job, so therefore, she figured she'd check out everything on the sixth floor.

She got distracted by the kitchen.

"Oh, please tell me you're gonna share."

"I think that's her plan," Hurley said. He looked confused, a moment. "...aren't you one of the teachers?"

"Nope," Elle said cheerfully. "That's Veronica. I'm Elle."

[likes_chicken]

"Oh," Hurley said. "Your sister or something?"

[tasenburn]

Elle shook her head. "Just one of those freaky people sharing faces things."

[likes_chicken]

"Huh," Hurley said. "Guess that's a first for me."

[tasenburn]

"It's not so bad," Elle said with a shrug. "At least my lookalike's nice."

[likes_chicken]

"I've not really met her," Hurley admitted. "So you get to make the awesome impression that I'll judge her against."

[tasenburn]

"Aww." Elle grinned. "In that case, I should probably try to be on my best behavior or something."

And Elle wasn't always very good with that whole best behavior thing.

"Or your worst," Hurley joked with a shrug. "I mean, you seem cool so far."

[tasenburn]

"You say that now, but wait until you get to know me." It was said with a smile, but... well... Elle, issues? Nooooo, not in the least. Don't know what you're talking about.

"True, I don't know. You could have, like, some super-powered alter ego or something," Hurley said.

[tasenburn]

"Ooh, so close," Elle said, snapping her fingers. "But not quite."

[likes_chicken]

"Oh yeah?" Hurley said. "How close am I?"

[tasenburn]

"Well..." she said teasingly. "You're not too off on the powered part."

[likes_chicken]

"Man, I'm starting to think everyone around here has them except me," Hurley said
