Main Campfire; Wednesday Evening [ 07/22 ]/

Jul 22, 2009 20:47

It seemed a quiet night for campfires so far, but Turtle was in too good of a mood to just hang out in her cabin to do things. She got to work on her shooting and play with a trebuchet in class, and what was better than flinging rocks at a castle? Then there was the slumber party on Friday, complete with nefarious plans that would be kept quiet thanks to the cover of her and Valentine doing radio, unless Val decided to be a jerkface and not cooperate. And then there was the date with Zack Saturday. A date. She'd done a complete 180 from where she was at the beginning of the summer and felt happier and more relaxed than she'd felt in what seemed like forever.

So she made a quick trip to the store and dragged back with her all the usual spoils: all the accouterments for s'mores, all the fixin's for hot dogs, and a lot of soda pop in a cooler. Because no matter what, it never got old. Especially since she was an American, dammit. There were, however, some chips and pretzels and donuts in case anyone really was sick of the usual fare.

[[ Post is wide open, though I might be slowish as I try to finish a book with a complete lack of focus ]]
