Layla yawned and stretched as she exited her alcove after five days of being a leather bound set of encyclopedias. She still felt a bit fuzzy and stiff for some strange reason. It wasn't as if she had actually spent the week in bed but she still felt like she had

Lugging around her laptop again, Valentine wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do with herself after her class today, but she did know she wanted to distract herself from it. The topic was one that left her a little bitter, and she didn't want to sulk. Seeing some activity around a campfire, she drifted over, taking a seat, and giving the customary wave around to everyone.

"Hi Val," Layla said with a wave. "Tofu dog?"

"It's edible, right?" Valentine asked with a faint grin.

[iknowstuff]

"Edible," Layla smirked. "Though not quite an actual hot dog."

[a_demosthenes]

"If it doesn't contain at least fifteen percent of the inedible stuff in an actual hot dog," Valentine said, "I don't know if I want to eat it."

"It has textured vegetable protein and soy protein concentrate," Layla chuckled. "Does that count?"

"That sounds way too healthy," Valentine said. "But I guess I'll give it a try, anyway."

"That's the spirit," Layla said handing her a stick with an impaled tofu dog. "Here you go! Roast away."

"Thanks, Layla," Valentine said, putting the laptop aside to take up her tofu dog and begin roasting. "How've you been, by the way?"

"Not bad. I was a set of encyclopedias for a few days," Layla said in a off-hand manner. "Feels good to walk again."

"Encyclopedias?" Valentine asked. "How appropriate. Shame it wasn't something more animate, though."
