Claire was still in an excellent mood after her conversation with Jon last night. She decided to pass on the trip into the city and instead headed for the common room to make breakfast in an effort to meet some new people

Elle shuffled down the hall from her room, wearing her robe and holding Bruiser. Someone somewhere was making breakfast. She took a few steps into the big room and looked towards the kitchen area at the girl there.
"Hi," she said, cheerfully enough, if minus the perky. "Do we make our own breakfast here?"
"Aw, that's really sweet of you," she said, smiling and walking in further. "I'm Elle Woods and this is Bruiser Woods. We're just down the hall in room 326."
"I'm Claire Butler," she replied. "I live in 312. Nice to meet you. Help yourself. There should be juice and milk in the fridge. And there's tea and coffee in the cupboards if you want to make some."
Elle put Bruiser on the floor and he pranced along at her feet, looking adorable and tiny. "Thanks, Claire. It's nice to meet you. You're not new are you? Knowing where everything is alreay. Oooh, Freedom Pancakes."
"He's super friendly with everyone and aw, see he likes you already." Bruiser lifted his tiny head up and blinked cutely at Claire. "I'm settling in super great. My roommate, Adora? She's totally awesome and so sweet. The picnic was so much fun yesterday. So many students I didn't have a chance to meet them all. What grade are you in?" Elle rambled as she prepared a small bowl of broken up pieces of pancake and fruit for Bruiser.
"There are," she exclaimed with a small laugh. "And so many girls here with the name Elle or Ellie or Eleanor; we're bound to confuse our teachers." Not that Elle Woods could ever be confused with someone else. "Did you go to the picnic yesterday? The administration deserves a pat on the back, totally." She set the bowl on the floor for Bruiser. "Here sweetie. Breakfast!"
"Yes!" she exclaimed brightly. "She's amazing. We're in the midst of making plans to go to the spa. It's going to be totally fun. I also met her roommate but she totally didn't know what a spa was which wow, amazing right? But I have a feeling Adora wouldn't know either since she didn't know what a salon was. I wonder what kind of home life these girls come from. Every girl should have a chance to be pampered."
"The weirdness? Turtle told me about the giant mutant alligators. Fiona showed me a magic rose. Everyone else mentioned weird or odd but now I can add quirks to that list too," she said, beginning to suspect something was up here.
"Hi," she said, cheerfully enough, if minus the perky. "Do we make our own breakfast here?"

"I'm a junior," Claire said. "And there are still people I haven't met. The island is small, but somehow there are a lot of people here."

"I'm sorry? I think I heard you wrong or you were making fun of her in a totally cute way that I'm not sure I'm understanding?"
