When you spend several long (but very, very good) days in your (or someone else's) dorm room, you almost got the urge to go outside and make sure the sun was still there. So, that's what Alex was doing. It was warm but not mind numbingly hot and the sun was coming and going between clouds

Dinah had been happy to wake up in a lot more control of herself. Although she was going to have some awkward conversations in the next week or so, it wasn't anything she couldn't live with. She headed out to the deck to enjoy the sun, and nodded to the cute guy she didn't know. Who she didn't want to jump today. Yay. "Hey."

"Hey," Alex replied, giving Dinah a nod. "Welcome to the deck, population...a few."

Dinah grinned, and said, "Nobody needing the whole deck, right?" She kicked off her flip-flops and wandered to the edge, downwind of Alex. "I'm Dinah. We got a ton of people out here a couple times, for parties."

"I think everyone's going to be recovering for awhile," he observed, glancing back at the dorms. "Alex. Nice to meet you, Dinah."

"Yeeeah," Dinah said, trying not to laugh, and stretching her arms over her head for a second before concentrating on her feet on the deck. "Although the Radio made it sound way, way worse than it could have been, I think." She looked reflective. "Mr. Deadpool is kind of traumatizing that way."

"He's kind of off his nut," Alex said eloquently. "The radio probably didn't report half the shit that went down."

"Not if the squirrels were half as busy as Jaina and Brooke said they were. Ugh." Dinah shuddered a little, not needing that mental image. She veered off from any too-personal questions, and said, "So, on your scale of Fandom weird, how'd you rate this one?"

"Hey, I saw nothing wrong with this," he said and laughed. "You won't find me complaining about getting to have sex."

Dinah grinned. "Yeah, didn't think you would." He was a guy. Heh. She shook her head. "Kinda freaky for me, but not as bad as the weekend with the little kids or where I thought I was someone else."

"You didn't think I would?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Why's that? And why the hell would be it freaky of all things?"

"'Cause you're a guy. And, um. Cute." Dinah was just assuming he had more experience than her, because of that. "Although I guess you could've found it weird the way I did, 'cause I have poor impulse control sometimes, but not usually about guys."

Alex smiled even if he knew that was true. No shortage of ego here. "I didn't find it weird. I found it tiring. In all the good ways."

Dinah curled her toes over the edge of the deck and nodded, only turning a little pink. "Well." Okay, she'd had fifteen hours to come up with a better answer to this since Jack Priest said the same thing. "That's cool."

"Sex makes a lot of people nervous here," he noted, picking up on the lack of response there. "It's a natural thing."

"It is!" Dinah agreed, not wanting him to think she was a prude. "Just, complicated, for some of us." She turned red. "Not wanting to mess it up." Not to mention the telepathy that would almost guarantee it, in her case.

"Tab A, slot B," he said bluntly. "That's not complicated." It was possible he didn't get what she meant because he rarely did emotions.
