Diana had run out of things to waste time on, and wandered into the common room. "You cook?"

"Apparently," George retorted, grinning. "Want some?"

"Do you cook well?" Diana checked, setting Samuel down on a couch.

George laughed. "Oh, well, I haven't had any complaints. I guess your best bet is to try it and find out?"

"How will I ever manage?" Diana asked dryly and grabbed a plate. A few bites in, her thumbs-up answered that question.

"Glad to know they've not been lying!" George said, grinning. "Can I get you anything? There's rosewater-lime sorbetto for dessert."

Diana remembered to swallow before responding. "Seriously?"

"... Yes?" George assayed. "I found an ice cream maker in one of the cupboards."

Diana automatically glanced down before grabbing a bowl of ice cream. "So, how often are you planning on doing this?"

George shrugged. "No real plans," he said. "Just, really, whenever the mood strikes me. I like cooking, so it might happen often."

"Diana Hansen, 509." Diana informed him. "Meow!" Said Samuel pointedly. "And Samuel."

"Oh, hey! I live in 510!" George said. "I'm surprised I haven't seen you around more. George Sands."

"You don't hear any noise from me through the wall." Diana informed him, twisting the Possibilities to make it true.

"Well, I can't say as I've noticed any, no," George said, "but then I'm not terribly... I don't pay attention to anything I'd hear, anyway."

Diana snorted. "At least you cook well."
