It was probably later than it should be for loud music, but Buffy needed something to work with as she finished packing up for tomorrow. "Hey," Jen yelled, sticking her head out of the cabin from her wing, "keep it down out there, would y -- oh, hi, Buffy."

She somehow felt a little weird yelling at someone who'd seen her as a gecko.

Don't ask how Jen's brain worked sometimes.

"Hey, Jen," Buffy called back, adding, "I get the feeling people are not into the three-day weekend spirit!"

Maybe because this school tended not to have those. Oh well, she was a senior, what did she care?

"That would make sense if they were the people who actually had to be up for classes that happen over a three-day weekend, but they're on the other side of the campground," Jen replied. "Or should be, anyway."

She'd actually remembered she couldn't cite people for noise violations. It was a minor miracle.

Jen usually watched the movies that were on at godawful hours of the morning when nobody should be watching movies.

"It's not my fault!" said the wrong character for that line Buffy. "I think we're safe."

That made it safer, yes. In an alternate reality. On another planet. Without a sense of irony.
