He had sulked, but there had been research to do on business schools in Tokyo, and papers to fill out, and innumerable emails and phone calls with his father to hammer out his plans; when he finally found a school that was willing to consider taking him at this

The shooting range was part of Triela's almost-daily routine, so it wasn't much of a surprise that she ended up there too. While it wasn't strictly necessary, she stood just beside the door, waiting for some signal from Romeo that he was aware of her presence before moving farther.

He was armed, after all, and it generally didn't hurt to be careful.

Turning his head, he lifted his head and his safety goggles to look at her. "Hello, Triela. Do you need to get past me?"

"Thanks," she responded, inclining her head in return.

"Are you enjoying the time off until workshops?" Romeo asked, mostly to be polite. If she just wanted to practice, he could leave her in peace easily enough.

[sorella_vecchia]

"I don't know," she admitted. "I don't do too well when I don't have something to occupy my time."

She lifted an eyebrow. "And how are you enjoying being a graduate?"

"I feel immeasurably wiser and more mature," Romeo joked. "... or, at least I think I found a school I can go to in Tokyo. I said all my goodbyes on Monday, so this week has felt quite empty."

"Tokyo." She nodded. "But now you don't know exactly what to do with your time?" Because Triela felt like that quite often.

"Not for now," Romeo admitted. "So many of my friends are gone, or busy with their own packing and goodbyes. I have the shop, and I'm to be a TA, but I may have a lot of spare time until I leave."

"I know that feeling," Triela sighed. "I'm not a big fan of it."

"What do you do to keep yourself busy?" Romeo wondered. "I usualyl end up on the beach."

[sorella_vecchia]

"I spend a lot of time here," she admitted. "And do a lot of long distance running." She shook her head. "I probably train more than is useful, actually, but it keeps me busy."

"Busy helps prevent idle thoughts," Romeo said with a nod. He lifted his goggles off his head entirely to set them to the side, and glanced down at his gun. "Though practice with this never seems to make much difference to me; I think I am about as good now as I was at 14."

Of course, he was a really good shot at 14.

"You're pretty good," Triela pointed out. "And after a certain point I think that practice just keeps you from losing your edge."

"And it kills time," Romeo said, bending his head down to reload.

[sorella_vecchia]

"Poorly, but it works." She shook her head. "I keep half-hoping Hilshire will call me in for a mission. That would help."
