3rd Floor Common Room, Friday Evening

Jan 16, 2009 17:48

Washing one's clothes in a stream meant that Firekeeper was actually quite comfortably attired as she (and Blind Seer, who just plain didn't need to worry about clothes) wandered in to the common room with boxes from one of the food-selling places in town. The smell of fresh-baked bread and cheese had drawn her in, but then she'd been asked about " ( Read more... )

Priestly . . . was still dressed in just his boxers. With his stained dye towel as a shawl.

All his other clothes seemed to be missing. Well, okay, not all his clothes, but he really did prefer wandering around in his underwear to putting those on.

Now, he was in search of food. "Ooo, pizza?"

"I think that is what they sayed it was being called," Firekeeper replied, tilting her head at Priestly. "That is not good clothing for winter," she observed.

Penelope walked into the common room dressed up in her coat. It was pretty much all she had left. She wanted a glass of milk to go with her Ho Ho's.

After getting said glass of milk, she noticed the pizza. "Oh, that smells delicious."

Priestly, wearing nothing but Mr. Happy boxers and a stained towel over his shoulders, waved.

"Hey, Penelope."

She looked over and felt her tongue stick itself to the roof of her mouth.

"H-hi, Priestly."

Dear heavens he was practically naked.

No more so than he'd be on a beach.

Okay, maybe he was showing a little more leg.

"How's it going?"

There was smart, aka hiding in your room when the last thing you had left to wear was footie pajamas with little bunny ears on the toes, and then there was being anyplace else.

Thing is, there was pizza anyplace else.

Guess where Francine was?

"Please don't ask. They were a present from my great aunt. Is that pepperoni?"

"Dude, those are awesome." Priestly grinned at her from where he was sitting in Mr. Happy boxers. And nothing else.

Francine colored and tugged a little at the zipper. Upwards. "At least it's--" Full-body coverage, thank God. "--warm."

She was trying not to stare. She shouldn't stare. She'd hated it when people stared... but much like with the assembly today, it was hard not to.

Priestly wasn't going to tell her off for staring. If he hadn't been willing to accept staring, he'd still be hiding in his room. "Yeah, I'm totally jealous. Damned machines left me high, dry, and freezing exactly halfway back to the dorms, today."

. . . she'd apparently forgotten to eat.

Katchoo was only reminded of this by the very loud growl her stomach gave as she passed by the third floor common room and caught a whiff of pizza, but she and Clocky slouched into the room and went to grab a piece (well, Katchoo did, anyway) before asking. Hey, it was there. And she was really starting to hate these sweatpants. Maybe if they ever got their clothes back she'd burn the damn things. The leather jacket wasn't so bad, and she'd given up and unzipped it partway just to get some air.

"How come you didn't remind me to eat?" she demanded of the little wheeled clock, who just beeped innocently.

"If you is needing food, there is much pizza," Firekeeper offered.

"I guessed from the smell," Katchoo said dryly, helping herself to a couple of slices that she mashed together into a sort of pizza sandwich. She decided to hang out by the table rather than taking a seat, the better to lean against it when she had to scratch at her ankle. Stupid craptastic sweatpants, covered in lintballs and just generally grosser than even she'd let herself wear. If she had a choice.

Firekeeper shrugged. "I only learn what pizza is today," she said. "It just smell like bread and cheese to me."
