Not in the mood to watch TV, Meg wandered down to rec room to try out the piano. Sadly she was not particularly talented and was mostly limited to using one finger to plink out some Christmas carols and TV theme songs.

"It's okay, I'm just goofing," Meg replied, launching into a one fingered rendition of Jingle Bells. "Josh says this isn't playing, it's plinking."

She chuckled. "Something like that," she ventured to say. "Who is Josh?" she asked as she came closer, leaning her forearms against the piano.

"He's a good friend." Who used to be a boyfriend before the pressure got to be too much. "He's going to apply to Julliard, so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about."

"It's a very prestigious music school in my particular corner of the universe," Meg explained. "You have to pretty much be the best to get in there."
