Jenny had eventually dragged herself up from her most recent hangover and staggered to the restroom, intent on brushing her teeth to rid her mouth of the taste of old cigarettes and gin, aka 'death

Hoshi had a towel draped over her arm and her hair was pulled back. She opened the door to the bathroom, then stopped and stared. "What are you doing?"

Jenny pulled her head out from under the tap and said, "It's almost as good as booze. Are you planning a shower? Good luck with that."

"You mean we're getting cocoa from the showers too?" asked Hoshi. She turned on one of the shower taps and stood back. "Not exactly how I planned on getting clean. On the other hand, mmmmm, peppermint hot cocoa."

"I took a bath in rum when that happened," Jenny said. "At least alcohol has sterilizing properties."

"I know chocolate has some health benefits, but I think for most of them, you have to ingest it," said Hoshi.

"Working on that," Jenny assured her.

"Well, when life gives you lemons... I'll be right back," she said, rushing out of the bathroom.

She returned ten minutes later with as many empty bottles as she could find. "I hope there's enough room in the common room fridge for all this."

Jenny wiped her sticky face on a towel, said, "Genius," and, "Hang on, I'll be right back."

She returned with a bottle with an inch or so of brandy still in the bottom. "Now we're cooking with butter."
