Fightin' Fox Campfire; Thursday Evening.

The more she thought about it, the more Adah realized that, while she mourned the loss of her privacy, she really rather liked the cabins. She kept to herself enough that privacy was never really an issue; it came rather naturally around her. Everything was on the same level, which made going from one place to another a bit easier. And then there was the pride she took in her ability to step outside and get a fire going, literally single-handedly, and then she could sit close enough to it to catch enough light but not too much heat to read Poe by. Poe was always best read by firelight, after all, or drunk, but she didn't exactly feel like drinking right now. Just a quiet evening, reading The Imp of the Perverse backwards ("Confession! Open! Make to enough, fool, not be I. If , yes, safe am I, safe am I, thus them remodelled. I, petulance, of fit, a! In syllables customary, these aloud half murmuring of act, the in myself arrested. I, streets the along, sauntering whilst day one.") while Pride enjoyed the open air of the area, playing games with himself, the flames, and the level of Adah's concern for him by hopping as close as he could without making himself feel too singed.

[[ open, of course! ]]
