2nd Floor Common Room - Tuesday Evening

Meg wanted to reward herself after working hard today. A cupcake sort of reward. So after showering (she had been playing in the dirt all day) she headed to the kitchen to see if there were any cupcakes in the fridge. But there wasn't any. Not even regular cake. Ella had gone to the common room in hopes of rummaging up some soup or a sandwich, and brightened when she saw the girl baking. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Now that I've stemmed the massive inflow of frosting I had going earlier I think I'm good. Thank you though," Meg said. "You're welcome to have one if you want."

"I can't say I think too much frosting is a tragedy," Ella grinned, taking a cupcake. "Thank you, they look wonderful. We haven't met, have we? I'm Ella."

"I'm Meg. I'm glad you're here," she said. "There was no way I could eat all these myself. I just wanted one but you can't make just one cupcake."

Ella shook her had. "Even if you could it would be a sad baking project. I'm glad I'm here to help eat them." She took a bite. "Especially as they're good. Do you bake often?"

Meg smiled and nodded. "Yeah, pretty often. It's something I'm good at. And it seems to make other people happy too so I've got a two-for-one going for me there."

Ella had to smile again for that. It was hard not to, when someone was being so cheery. "So do you live on this floor?" she asked, licking a bit of icing from her fingers. "I'm with Turtle, in 210."

"I'm in 212," Meg said. She paused for a moment before smirking and asking, "Hey, do you ever find pink glitter in your room?"

Ella had to think about that one for a moment, and the look she gave Meg distinctly showed she found it to be an odd question. "A tiny bit in the closet," she said. "Why, are you one of Turtle's former roomies? I knew they didn't really all get poisoned."

"Turtle told you she poisoned all her roommates?" Meg asked.

[ella_obeys]

"Not exactly," Ella admitted. "We were talking about how she needed a food taster, and somehow it turned into a conversation about what exactly happened to her other roommates. The poisoning thing was a joke."

She leaned in. "I think Nana scared them off, myself."

"Yeah, Nana is scary," Meg said. She was worried about that poisoning thing for a second. "Anyways, last Valentine's Day I played a little prank on Turtle and covered her room in pink glitter. It was hilarious."

Ella snickered. "I like Turtle, but I still would have loved to see her face when she found that."

"Yeah, she was not happy," Meg admitted. "Still refers to me as 'evil Meg' when she's doing radio."

"I still haven't listened to her," Ella confessed. "I'm not used to technology thingies. Still, was it worth it?"

"Oh, definitely," Meg said, grinning widely. "She's one of those people who is really fun to rile up."
