Meg wanted to reward herself after working hard today. A cupcake sort of reward. Happy from a good dancing class, Giselle bounced into the common room. Not that it was the one on her floor but never mind that. "Oh my, are you baking? Did someone need cheering up or are these for the old lady who lives in the wood or is it a friend's birthday?"

"Uh, the first one? Sort of?" Meg was sort of taken aback by the cheerfulness. Now she knew it was like when people met her for the first time. "I was working all day today and I thought I'd reward myself."

"What were you working at?" she asked curiously. "I'm sure you do deserve a reward!"

"I was helping the renovations in the park. I was planting flowers today," Meg explained. She did think she deserved an award. "I'm Meg, by the way."

Giselle clasped her hands under her chin. "You did? Oh, you do deserve an award! How wonder to help make the park more beautiful! And the birds will love it you know. And the butterflies and all the little animals."

Meg raised an eyebrow. It was unnerving to meet somebody more cheerful than she was. "Well, I do like making birds and butterflies happy."

"I thought you would," Giselle said happily. "Oh! My name's Giselle. Can I help you with anything?"

"Nice to meet you Giselle," Meg said, smiling. "You can help by eating some. I definitely made too much."

"If there are too many, maybe we should make everyone a basket?" Giselle said. "We could deliver them!"

Meg giggled. "That does seem like a very nice idea. Usually I leave them in the common room and people seem to find them pretty quickly on their own."

"They do smell wonderful," Giselle said happily. "Do you bake often?"

"Uh-huh," Meg said, nodding. "It's sort of a hobby of mine. What about you? Do you like to bake?"

"I do, but I like to sew more," Giselle said. She leaned in to whisper. "And I don't know how to use these funny ovens. I can't figure out where to put the wood in."

"Oh! Well, the funny ovens don't need wood," Meg shook off the dirty aspect of that sentence. "You just turn the knob depending on how hot you want it."

Again, she was ignoring the dirty part of that sentence.

Luckily the dirty parts flew right over Giselle's head.

"But how do you know how hot you want it?" she asked curiously, tilting her head at the knobs.

[OOC: And bed for me! SP yay?]

"Well, usually I'm following a recipe. They usually tell you how hot you should put the oven," Meg said. "But other times I just guess. If you check up on it often enough you can tell if you're in danger of burning the food or not."

[Fine by me!]
