Gladys had spent another night watching the stars. She wasn't sure when it had happened, but... "Why Am I A Pony?"

She was, indeed, a pony, and a rather perplexed pony, at that.

Jo trotted out of the cabin, frowning a pony frown. "Why am I pink?" she asked, as that was far more worrying than the pony part.

"I Do Not Know Why You Are Pink." She paused. "Do You Realise You Are Also A Pony?"

"Yes," Jo replied. "But that's just Fandom weirdness. The pink is just cruel." She emphasised this with a stamped hoof.

"Is There Something Wrong With The Colour Pink?" she asked.

[wannabehunter]

"It's bright. Too bright."

[cheminthehead]

"It Is Very Bright," she agreed. "But It Will Make It Easy To Find You If You Become Lost."

"Or if I try to hide," Jo agreed, twisting her head to look at her hindquarters. "...I have a butt tattoo."

"If You Were trying To Hide, Being Pink Would Be Make It Difficult," she said, then looked at Jo's hindquarters. "You Do. It Is Round. Do You Have One When You Are Not A Pony?"

"Not usually," Jo replied, recognising the symbol. "Definitely not of that either."

Gladys heaved herself to her feet with a little help from her wings and trotted over for a closer look. "Is It Something Unpleasant?"

"Not exactly," Jo said. "It just wouldn't be very useful tattooed there."

"It Would Be Useful If It Was Tattooed Somewhere Else?"

[wannabehunter]

"Maybe," Jo said. "But usually it's drawn on things."

"Is It Graffiti?" she asked. "Graffiti Is A Public Nuisance."

"Not graffiti," Jo replied. "It's a tool. Kinda."

"A Tool?" Her eyes brightened. "What Sort Of Tool Is It?"
