Third Floor Common Room: Sunday Morning

It had been a long night and for some reason the kids were early risers. So it was a pretty groggy Mel who dragged her kids down the hallway and started setting them up with bowls of cereal and turned on TV in the hopes that it would keep them occupied until the coffee began to work.

"Ron. Seriously. It's a potted plant. Stop hugging it."

Amy charged into the common room at high speed. "HI! SUGAR CEREAL?"

And there was Jo, following close on her heels. "Indoor voice, Amy. Indoor voice."

"SORRY!" Amy yelled less loudly. "BREAKFAST? PLEASE?"

Because manners were required.

[wannabehunter]

"Sure, Sweetie," Jo replied, rubbing her fingertips across the bridge of her nose. "Just give me a minute."

"I CAN HELP!" Amy helpfully declared, holding out her hand like Daddy did when he was doing Jedi stuff.

Cue Jo yelping and making a flying leap for Amy's hand. "No, Sweetie, it's quite alright. How about you go sit on the couch while I rustle up some breakfast?"

"OKAY!" Amy nodded furiously, before scrambling onto the couch.

[wannabehunter]

"Good girl," Jo said, before going over to the cupboards in search of cereal.
