"Do I?" Romeo asked slyly, glancing up at Triela. "I plead innocence. Or at least, it would not be a very good plot if I told you the details so soon."

"That's true," she agreed with a laugh. "Just be careful that your clever plots don't run afoul of someone more clever than you."

"And I'll allow there are probably those in this club more clever than I," Romeo said. "So perhaps the best plot would be to have no plot, but to permit the clever ones to think I did, and tie themselves into knots unraveling my actions."

Which, mostly, was what he would have done anyhow. Romeo sucked at plots.

Which was, really, not at all, but it didn't hurt to make others think you had plans.

"What about you, have you a strategy to survive the fierce paintball battle?"
