Second Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

Savannah's letter from the past, and his conversation with her earlier today, had convinced Anders that there was something he had to do tonight that he hadn't done in a long, long time. And he was really past due for doing it.

So yes, that's right, he was in the common room with mixing bowls, baking tins, and a whole lot of boxes of cake batter

"I smell sugar!" Demyx announced, poking his head into the common room. "...Are they free to take?" he asked, eyes wide and hopeful.

"Hey, Demyx," Anders said, waving him in. "For you, I miiiiiiiiiight charge some mood music, but other than that? Go for it."

[electric_sitar]

"Music, I can do." Demyx bounced over to the cupcakes, snagging one of them. "So the creepy angels didn't get you, did they?" Tact had never been his strongest suit.

[cantgetnorelief]

"Gyahhhh!" Anders shuddered, and nearly dropped the cupcake he was frosting. "Thank frak, no."

[electric_sitar]

"Good! They were scary as hell!" Demyx was proud of himself for not hiding, though. Licking frosting from his fingers, he stole another cupcake.

"You're telling me," Anders laughed, and chose to tactfully ignore the cupcake theft . . . as if he considered it theft, anyway, but hey, if it made the cupcake taste better, who was he to argue? "I still think I was nuts for trying to help play bait for those guys."

[electric_sitar]

"I helped bait get away," Demyx said, grinning and amusing himself with licking the frosting off the cupcake. "Scary. As. Hell."

[cantgetnorelief]

"You teleporting types," Anders laughed. "Still . . . glad they didn't get you too, you know?"

[electric_sitar]

"Yeah, me too. About you, I mean. And me. I can barely handle it here, I can't imagine what it'd be like to go back in time like that." Demyx wrinkled his nose. "But you make cupcakes! Good ones!"

"Aww, thanks. I try. Who'll take over this job when I leave?" Anders asked melodramatically. "It's a really important duty!"

[electric_sitar]

"I don't know..." Demyx tilted his head to the side thoughtfully. "I guess it doesn't matter, though, since I won't be here either? I think I graduate this year..."

[cantgetnorelief]

"I can't believe it," Anders said, sounding slightly stunned. "I mean, graduating? That's, like, huge. And final and stuff."

[electric_sitar]

"Um..." Demyx hesitated. "See, thing is? I'm a Nobody, right? I don't think I can actually exist outside of Fandom. Since I can't go back to my own world since I'm dead there." It's was a kind of a sensitive topic, but as graduation was fast approaching, it was something on Demyx's mind a lot.

"Demyx!" Makoto greeted cheerfully. "Good evening!"

"Hi, Makoto!" Demyx waved his cupcake at Makoto. "No angels, right?"

"Only for the last part, the blinking," Makoto said, "but thankfully they're unable to do further harm. How have you been?"
