5th Floor Common Room, Sunday Night

Jan 27, 2008 20:31

As a quiet end to a weekend that was completely quiet if random boykissy didn't count, Romeo came into the common room to watch some TV. He found a bag of Doritos and tuned the television to an old Jackie Chan movie, and settled in to watch.

Mostly, he was trying to figure out how the stunts were done.

He'd decided to walk down from the roof, which is why he was near the fifth floor at all. As he was walking, though, he saw the television in the room on...

Teddy had shown him the television, had even sat with him during a show (he hadn't much understood the point of it since a book was much better and told you more about things), but he'd never seen something with that kind of--

"What is he doing?"

"A handstand," Romeo said briefly, before switching his attention from the TV to the other boy. "He is an officer of the law, and he is trying to arrest those in that car, but as they are in a car and he is on foot, the chase is the challenge." He gave Liir an apologetic smile, aware even his explanation probably didn't help much.

""Tis all rather silly, but relaxing to me."

"I suppose..."

Though he didn't see how something with that much to follow, so much quick action, could ever be 'relaxing'.

"Teddy showed me the ticktock," he admitted, "but I prefer a book. It is interesting, though."

"Ticktock?" Romeo repeated, with a raised brow. It sounded like something he would say, a bit, save the fact he had no idea what it meant. "I would normally opt for a book as well, but I felt like seeing others, and books are so solitary." Not that he was defensive, or anything.

Dōjima was either coming or going from nowhere in-particular when she saw the television on.

Oh! And her egg-baby-daddy!

"Dou Genki, Romeo-pappa," she teased. "Congratulations, we have a nanny through the wonders of slowplay that's still ongoing, omg! My onee-san said she'd do it for us."

Romeo missed a few key words in there, but he got the gist. "Good e'en, Dojima," he answered, pleased. "It is good to know you have settled the matter. I meant not to be a negligent father, burdening you with the fruit of our shared nonexistent sin."

"If you're a negligent father, then I'm a negligent mommy, and the baby is better off with the nanny," she said happily. "Now he has a chance at a normal life, and not one where where our, um, 'shared nonexistent sin' can traumatize him. And? Less chance of me turning him into breakfast."

"Oh, and she wanted to know his name, so we named him Felix. Surprise! It's a boy!"

The name drew a smile from Romeo. "Happiness," he said. "A good name, even if I had no say in it. And aye, no doubt he is better off without me. But what is the nurse's name? I ought at least visit our son."
