Irulan nodded, "I shall attend but again, I think I shall be in the sidelines since I do not have a 'date'."
There was something weird saying 'date', in her time there was no dating just: 'Meet so-and-so and by the way, he's your future husband' sort of thing.
"That's good for you!" Irulan said, suppressing the slight twinge of envy, "I suppose it is better I do not have a hate, else my Father would look too harshly on him. I think he has prospects for my soon-to-be husband."
