Party on the roof, Dorm roof, Friday night

Sep 07, 2007 12:15

River looked up at the sky. Once it got dark enough the stars would be visible. She smiled. That would be decoration enough. The music was already playing and she tooka a few dance steps, then spun around, closing her eyes.

Still, to be a proper party there was a few other things needed, and River had made sure they were there. Buffy had let her ( Read more... )

It's why River organised this in the first place, after all! There is a CD-player and a pile of totally moddable CDs.

It took Jeff a moment to mentally prepare himself and go over the steps again, but after a few minutes he walked into the dance area and broke it down. If by 'broke it down', you meant performing a staggeringly music-inappropriate coordinated dance effort that incorporated movements that recalled the praying mantis, weirdly random crunches, and something that seemed to be a reenactment of the opening title sequence of 'Bitterwoman'.

He was really proud of it. And oddly well-coordinated.

River just watched, clearly impressed. Perhaps Jeff's talent wasn't quite that of a dancer, but he compensated that with a unique creativity and by overcoming any anxiety he might have for dancing in public.

Jeff grinned at River as he danced. While making a pirouette, he did the robot in her direction in greeting.

So that was how it went...Turtle's head tilted as she tried to relate what Jeff was doing to the paper he'd shown her earlier but...it just wasn't happening. It was certainly....involved. Turtle scratched the back of her head a bit, wondering if she should be honest or not on how she didn't quite see it catching on.

Jeff did the robot-pirouette thing at Turtle, too, except he threw in both of his thumbs-up and a crazy grin, too.

Facepalming with a snort of a laugh, Turtle couldn't believe what a total nerdy, dorky spaz her boyfriend was, and she dropped her hand to look at him with nothing but an awed sort of admiration somewhere in the all the marvelling at what a dork he was.

But then he started in on some of those weird and random steps again, some of which made Turtle have to look away a bit with her face red and all sorts of embarrassing thoughts in her head that were so not welcome and didn't even make any sort of logical sense, but they were there all the same.

River had promised him a dance, and Bo was never one to turn down a party. Not that he recognised most of the music or would have the first idea how to dance to it, but he was grinning nonetheless as he tried.

River and no objections to Bo's attempts at dancing. She spun around, ending up in front of him. "Made it to the roof!" she exclaimed happily and extended a hand towards him.

"I could never turn down an invitation like from a pretty girl," Bo replied, on auto-flirt as he took her hand.

River laughed at his comment and began to dance, her bare feet moving lightly across the roof.

Bo laughed and tried to follow her steps, twirling her out and back in again.

River was clearly enjoying herself, pleased to have been assigned a little sibling who liked dancing.

Bo let out a pleased holler, not quite the full-out rebel yell but very close, enjoying himself just as much as she was.

Bo did remind her of the boys on one of the moons Serenity had stopped at while she was home this summer. "Got... my... spaceship... fixed," she said between spins.
