Buffy showed up a little after River, having woken up when she left the room. "Hey guys!" She waved happily, before yawning hugely. "Um. Sorry."

"Hey, Buffy," Claire said, lifting a plat of cookies up in triumph. "Cookie?"

"Definitely," Buffy grinned. "The best breakfast ever." She walked over to Claire so she could grab a cookie. "Have you been up long?"

"No," Claire lied, then caught herself in the lie. "Well, yeah. But only cause I like making cookies."

Buffy nodded approvingly. "Cookies are good."

"That's the theory," Claire said, taking a bite out of one herself. "What do you think of these?"

[1ordinarygirl]

Buffy had a taste, and then had the whole cookie. "Yum," she announced. "You should totally get up early more often."

[savedfornow]

"Yeah, and then I'd be cookie girl," Claire said. "Don't get used to it: I like my morning sleep."

Buffy pouted. She moved her hand to snag another cookie.

"Hey!"

Claire snacked at Buffy's hand. "Shouldn't we leave some for everyone else?"

"I suppose," Buffy said reluctantly. They were very good cookies, after all. She snatched her hand back.
