Fourth Floor Common Room, Evening

Isabel had reached returned from the clinic with the idea of geting a few hours of decent sleep. Unfortunately she'd reaced the point of being so over-tired that she couldn't sleep. So she wandered out to the common room to stare at the TV.

Extreme Home Makeover probably wasn't the greatest choice, but she was too tired to go look for the

Troy made his way into the common room, still a little confused about the previous night's events -- especially the ones that have taken place after he and A.J. had escaped the dinosaur.

It wasn't every day that he kissed a guy, after all.

"Hey new person!" Isabel waved. "You survived your first invasion. Sorry, I'm all out of t-shirts."

"There are t-shirts?" Troy asked. "And 'first'? Does this happen often?" He smiled, a bit vaguely. "The dinosaurs were kinda cool. The chasing, not so much."

"They're not exactly regular? But they happen often enough that nobody gets too freaked out," she shrugged. "I wasn't hear for the zombies, and I slept through the snow monsters stupid real life but I did get to kick troll butt last fall."

"You were chased? Obviously you got away though."

Troy grinned. "That... actually sounds like a lot of fun. I mean, do people get seriously hurt? The dinosaurs seemed dangerous, and they all sound it, too, but..." He shrugged. "And yeah, my roommate and I went out to try and find some dinos. We, uh, did."

"Sometimes people get pretty banged up," Isabel admitted. "And they'll wind up in the clinic for a few days, but most of the time it's just bumps and bruises."

"What happened when you did? How'd you get away? I had to climb a tree. Then I lucked out and the stupid thing got distracted."

"We found a cave-thing," Troy replied. "A.J. and I spent the night there, and then handwavily came back to the dorms this morning. We weren't sure how long it would take the thing to go away."

"If this goes like every other bit of Fandom weirdness? Things will be back to normal by the morning," she promised. "People will just be a little more black and blue."

"Really? Things tend to happen over weekends?"

[izzyalienqueen]

"Yup. Apparently the island doesn't want to see classes interrupted." It was as good an explanation as any.

"Huh." Troy wasn't quite sure what to say to that, so he changed the subject. "What'cha watching?"

"Extreme Home Makeover," she shrugged. "It's cheesy but occasionally heartwarming. Plus I like to see the final designs. Sometimes they're pretty neat."

"Designs? Extreme Home Makeover?"

Troy's TV-viewing is quite possibly limited to basketball, and things related to basketball.

Isabel has brothers. "There are channels other then ESPN you know," she told him. "Or the military channel."

"I know that!" He shrugged. "I just don't watch them? Oh! I watched the Tony awards! They weren't on ESPN!"

"The Tonys?" Isabel tilted her head and studied him. "You seem more like a All Star guy."
