Jul 09, 2007 18:21

After spending time with Jack which is still in play zomg Johnny took himself and all the stuff needed for a night of camping out, to the common room on his floor. He hoped Lana didn't forget but in the off chance she did, Johnny would hunt her down, toss her over his shoulder, and haul her to the common room so he could keep an eye on her. Lana showed up, sleeping bag and extra snacks in tow for the evening sleep-in in the common room.

"Hey, you showed!" Johnny grinned and waved her over to the couch. "I was wondering if I was going to have to go hunt you down."

"I keep my promises," Lana replied with a smile. "Wow, looks like you've got everything we could possibly need here."

"I tried," Johnny grinned, looking over at everything he drug in here. "Oh, and I have dinner for you. Are you hungry?"

She wasn't really, but he was being so kind... "A little, sure. What did you get?"

"Spaghetti, salad, and bread. All cooked upstairs by Charlie and Ronan, and A.J. John helped put together the salad." Getting up from the couch he wandered into the kitchen and unwrapped the two plates, heating them quickly with a palm before he stacked the bread and salad bowls on top. Moving back to the couch, he set everything down, with utensils, on the coffee table in which I hope there is one and asked her, "What can I get you to drink?"

"Water's fine," Lana said and grinned as she watched him heat the plates. "Now, that is a useful talent!"

He winked at her, "Don't I know it. I've heated up plenty of stuff that way. Comes in very handy." Grinning, he went and got two bottled waters from the fridge and joined her back on the couch. Currently the Discovery Channel was on, giving a nice background noise to their dinner. If you thought screeching tree monkeys nice that is.

Lana didn't mind the screeching tree monkeys at all, though she played with her food more than ate it. Still, she did eat some of it and that's what was important, right?

It was important, yes, very much so.

"You know, I camped outside your door last night. I knocked a couple of times but I guess you didn't hear me," he said around a forkful of spaghetti.

Lana looked horrified. "Johnny, you didn't need to do that! My god, you slept there? I'm sorry I didn't hear you knock. Maybe I was in the shower or something."

He shrugged, "It was no big deal. I didn't mind." He smiled sheepishly at her, "I've been kind of keeping an eye on you."

"Really?" she said drily. "I hadn't noticed."

Then she smiled at him. "Really, Johnny, I appreciate it, but even Jim would think that sleeping outside my door was going above and beyond the call of duty."

He grinned wide, "Of course you haven't. I can be all stealth like when I need to." Yes, he was being obtuse here on purpose. Totally.

"Spaghetti's good, isn't it?" That was him ignoring that part about the call of duty and whatnot.

She shook her head and went back to picking at her food, trying to make it appear that she'd eaten more than she had. It was a skill she was quite good at.

"So... movies all night?" Lana asked.

Johnny noticed it too, "Come on, can't you just try to eat it? If you don't eat more than that then I am going to make myself sick eating yours too. I promised Charlie it wouldn't go to waste." Puppy dog eyes.

"And yeah, movies all night. Unless you like, want to play Truth or Dare or something," he teased.
