5th floor Common room, Saturday morning

River sat perched on the couch. Not only wasn't Simon around, there was also a lack of kitchen staff to make her breakfast. She'd had to improvise, which had resulted in cookies and ice cream. That wasn't too bad although perhaps a little low on nutritional value and high on sugar.

Blair was dragging his yoga mat upstairs when he saw River scribbling and stopped. "Hi!"

"Dragging the mat up here was exercise?" River suggested. "Or you need breakfast first? There's a lack of staff in this place though, so you have to find your own. I found cookies."

Nadia led Walter and carried Furrball into the common room. "I want cereals with mashmellows in 'em. An' pineapples. An' hot sauce."

"Hot sauce is yucky," Walter disagreed. He'd detoured long enough to grab Pup, because he had to have the superior pet.

Pup dangled helplessly in Walter's grip, looking resigned to being carried by his neck again.

"And I want someone to cook me a big breakfast." No one looked ready to do that. "Or some cereals."

Furrball gave Pup a look of "omg how do we get away?!" Nadia gave Furrball a big hug.

Walter pulled the fridge open and peered inside. "Eggs. You just put them in a pan, right?"

He pulled out the eggs and a jug of milk and put both on the counter. "I've seen my mum do it."

Wee!John raced around trying to find stuff to do, stopping when he saw River. She was cool. He waved, thinking she was cool.
