Around the dorms, Monday evening

Peter had an assignment for the paper that he hadn't done anything with so far. He had to talk to seniors about their post-graduation plans. He had one day to get this together. That meant that it was time for ambushing seniors in the hallway and asking them a few simple questions.

This would be fun, he was sure.

Jack ran into Peter on his way from the third floor to the second. Not literally, of course. "Hey, Peter."

[peter__parker]

"Jack! Just the person I was looking for," Peter said.

[anextimeagent]

"You'd be amazed how often I hear that. Sometimes from people I've never even met," he said and grinned. "What can I do for you?"

[peter__parker]

"I'm writing an article for the paper about our seniors' plans for after graduation," Peter explained. "Do you have a couple minutes to answer a few questions?"

[anextimeagent]

"Sure, go for it." Jack shrugged and leaned against the wall. "I'm easy, ask me anything you want."

[peter__parker]

"Thanks. First things first, what are your plans for the summer? Doing anything exciting?" Peter asked.

[anextimeagent]

"I go straight from here to the Agency after graduation, so probably not," he replied. "I only get a week in between, which isn't really enough time for exciting."

[peter__parker]

"The Agency?" Peter asked. "Is this a super secret thing that I shouldn't be writing about if I don't want to go kaput?"

Not that it would stop him from writing about it. He had experience in not going kaput.

[anextimeagent]

"I'm not sure, I never really made it a secret," he said thoughtfully. "Go ahead and write about it. I'm going to be three thousand years away, so it probably won't matter. Its full name is the Time Agency."

[peter__parker]

"Well, that's a bit of a trip post-graduation," Peter said. "I imagine that'll constitute your fall plans, too?"

[anextimeagent]

"Yup." Jack nodded. "Fall, winter, spring, and on again into summer, repeat ad nauseum until I'm a full fledged Time Agent."

[peter__parker]

"About how long does that usually take?" Peter asked. That question had no impact on the article, he was just curious.

[anextimeagent]

Jack blinked. He'd never thought to ask. "I actually have no idea. I suspect it depends on how good you are and how hard you work. They seem pretty flexible."

[peter__parker]

"Oh, okay," Peter said. "Just one last question. Taking a hypothetical look at your ten year reunion, where do you see yourself? In terms of life, not in terms of 'I'll be in Fandom at the reunion.'"

[anextimeagent]

Since Jack would have answered, 'Not at the reunion', he was glad for the clarification. "Umm," he answered intelligently, stumped for a minute. "I guess, living the life that I was always meant to be living." He grinned. "But I'll be just as sexy as I am now."

[peter__parker]

Peter had to laugh at that part. "That's a perfect ending for your part of the article. Thanks for making my job so easy."
