Gwynn was dressed in her best dress and her hair was carefully done. There was no sign of her usual leather wear or her boots. In fact, there was nothing with her that even looked like she was the daughter of Robin Hood. She was sitting on the couch with her legs tucked up under her and she was reading what might have been a magazine. From the ( Read more... )

Shawn's always been a believer in socialisation. So when he brought his packet of poptarts to a common room, he made sure it was the one that actually had someone in it. Even if it was a couple of floors out of his way.

Considering this is Fandom and he doesn't really know her, Shawn didn't notice anything remotely strange. Just waved briefly at Gwynn and greeted her with a fairly cheerful, "Morning," as he wandered over to the toaster.

Gwynn hid the magazine quickly and stood. "Good morning, good sir," she said with a curtsy.

Oh, he was a handsome one....

"Uh." Shawn paused momentarily. Then put his poptart packet down, deciding the best way forward in this situation was just to play along.

His knowledge of these things is a bit rusty, so he just gave a short bow, and returned a hesitant, "Morning... good lady?"

Gwynn smiled. "How are you this fine morning?"

Shawn shrugged, picking posting a couple of slices of his breakfast into the toaster. "Considering I don't have class for another..." he glanced at the clock. "Oh, few hours at least. I'm all good."

"You?" he asked as he leaned back against the counter.

"I am very well, thank you, sir," Gwynn said in a demure voice.

She was gazing at him in rapt fascination as if everything he was saying was the best thing she had ever heard.

"Good," Shawn said, shifting a little uncomfortably under her gaze. "That's good."

After a moment he added, "Uh, I'm Shawn, by the way. Not sure we've really met... properly."

"I am Lady Locksley. Also called Gwynn Hood."

"Okay," Shawn nodded. "So... which one do you prefer?" he asked. Always better to check these things.

"I do prefer to be called Gwynn... but what would you prefer to call me?" She smiled fawningly at him.

"I think, if Gwynn is what you like, then Gwynn is what I'm gonna call you," Shawn said picking his poptarts out of the toaster with a pair of forks.

"So, Gwynn." He smiled. "You had breakfast yet?"

"Not as of yet, sir."

Shawn chuckled at being referred to as sir, and held out a plate.

"Poptart?" he offered. "My culinary skills extend as far as turning on a toaster, otherwise, I'd come up with something more interesting."

Gwynn tilted her head. "What is a poptart, handsome sir?"

Shawn smirked. He may be taken, but that doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate being referred to as handsome by pretty girls.

"Uh, a sort of hot biscuit?" His explanation could do with a little work, really. "With raspberry and sugar."
