Isobel had to admit that she was getting a bit bored with Jack.  Yes, his skill was impeccable, but honestly, to need to direct him in every action?  Still, he was here and she was bored. The spell materials were all collected, the telephone calls to Phoebe and Marie had been made.

So she was curled up with him on the couch, letting him put his ( Read more... )

He could, and touch and stroke, skilled enough to get the desired effect without an observer being much the wiser, unless they looked very closely.

Jack nibbled on her ear, just the right length of time, then slipped his hand under her shirt to stroke her stomach. "Are you happy?" he asked earnestly. He was supposed to make her happy.

The buried Jack was beyond thought now, was simply simmering rage, looking for a way out.

"Mmmm..." Isobel purred. "Very, as long as you keep doing this."

Jack took her instructions literally, kept stroking her stomach, kept nibbling on her ear, shifting a little so she'd be lying more comfortably against him. "Like that?" he asked.

Isobel sighed. "The whole package would be nice. Go back to the seducing me part." Honestly, he was beginning to seem more trouble than he was worth.

After Sam and Jack had left, Wyatt wandered into the common room, feeling his way along the wall. Yep, still blind.

Isobel turned when she heard someone enter the room. Him! The one who had treated her descendant, her heir, with such contempt. He deserved to pay for the things he had said and done. Not to mention that his actions had nearly gotten her host killed and where would that have left Isobel?

But something seemed odd about the way he was moving - almost as if he couldn't see. She decided to wait and see what he did next.

Wyatt bumped into a chair. "Frak," he muttered under his breath. "Who put that there?"

Bridge wanders up to the third floor, and seeing Lana in the common room, goes over and flops down on the couch.

"Hey, Lana," he says with a smile.

"Bridge," Isobel said, feeling a bit wary. She knew he had an ability to tell if people were there true selves. This might prove problematic.

Luckily for her, Bridge was somewhat wary about using his abilities casually, at the moment. "What's up?" he asks.

"Not much," Isobel admitted. "Just relaxing till I go to meet some friends later."

Her mind was racing, trying to come up with a way to interfere with our block his ability. If only she could think of a way to get his gloves off and still prevent him from sensing her. Which gave her an idea. She stiffened and sat up straighter, looking around nervously.
