Summer Plans: We Needs Them!
In order to plan for the summer terms, we need to know what your plans are for your students. Graduates are welcome to stay for the summer as long as they either TA for a workshop (it's up to you to find a teacher to TA for) or if they have a job in town where they can continue to work (as long as there's a post of them at their job at least once a week).
Some things to keep in mind:
All graduates will need to leave the island by the end of the second term (the end of August).
If you've got some summer plans that we need to know, please fill out the following information to let us know what you're planning:
Character Name:
Moving to alumni status, or riding off into the sunset?
If alumni, leaving the island May 6th, staying for only the first summer session, leaving but coming back for the second session or staying for the whole summer?
If staying, as a TA or working in town? (if you need time to arrange a TAship, just let us know you're working on it, then send in an update once you've secured your position)
If you're a non-senior student (meaning other students and faculty) but you have some summer plans (leaving for first term, leaving for second term, leaving for the entire summer) that we need to know, please let us know them here:
If you're dropping a character entirely, please just shoot us an email about that one. We realize this is going up early but we wanted to give people plenty of time to plan things out. Don't worry, reminders will be going up sporadically as graduation and summer term inch closer. Please have plans in by Friday, April 29th at 11:59PM EST.
Some things to keep in mind:
- You can leave at the end the first term if you'd like (the beginning of July), or go home for the first term and come back for the second.
- All students who are leaving before the summer terms (graduates who aren't sticking around, students who are going away for the summer, and students who are leaving the game or becoming expats) need to be off the island by Friday, May 6th.
