Anders signed in and took a snickerdoodle. He was pretty sure they weren't made out of people, but he wasn't going to ask at any rate. When he counted the number of ingredients on the instruction sheet, he almost cried.

Anders spent about fifteen minutes going over the instructions. "Aw, this can't be that hard," he told no one in particular. "And no open flames this week."

He carefully preheated the oven and started measuring out his ingredients. The only thing that really stuck him for now was the bit about how the butter had to be softened. How do you soften butter?

With a shrug, Anders set the stick of butter down on the counter and started pummelling it with both fists.

"Piper?" Sam asked, "Is it okay if I sit today out? I, er, sprained my wrist and broke a couple of ribs over the weekend, and I can't really do much. Not like I could do much in here anyway, but I'd like to be able to at least put out any fires I start."
