Cameron wasn't so sure about tracking on his bare feet and possibly running into the giant squid. One look at Callisto, though, and he took his shoes off.

"My name is Callisto, for those who don't know, I'm a recent graduate of this school. I come from a society most of you would consider primative, but this just means that I am very good at surviving in conditions like this. I can and will kick your ass if I deem it necessary."

"I'm Janet Fraiser," said Janet. "And while I fully appreciate the benefits of technology, I took this workshop because technology isn't always available, and overreliance on any one method of doing things is bad anyway."

"I'm Cameron Mitchell. I signed up for this workshop because it's something that will come in handy when I join the Air Force. If I ever crash my plane and end up in the wilderness, this might save my ass," Cameron introduced himself.

"Aeryn Sun. I've had some wilderness survival training handy should you ever fall off a mountain, oops, but I haven't learned everything about this planet yet."

Molly debated whether to take her socks off as well. On the one hand, very dirty socks. On the other, even colder toes. She finally decided to leave them on for now.

Sam saw Molly sitting by herself and took a deep breath. Surely he could do this without too much embarrassment. He just had to start by talking. "Hey Molly," he said, smiling.

Hamlet looks at the tracks skeptically. "Are you certain about that? If they did belong to John Crichton, would they not be followed by a second pair of female tracks, keeping him whipped into shape from behind?"

"Some kind of hoofed animal that lives in a forest," said Janet, frowning at the tracks. "Deer, maybe?"
It might be that she'd been forced to watch Bambi one too many times as a child, and that was the only animal she could think of that had hoofs and lived in a forest.
