[ooc: Detention is being posted in fandomhigh as usual for consistency, however, detention activites are occurring in town at the Town Hall.]Lorelai is waiting in the foyer of the town hall promptly at 8am. "I need some people to do some heavy lifting. We need to hang the backdrops that the art classes made. The bandstand needs to be put together and checked for stability so the royalty doesn't have any accidents. And we need tables for refreshments and chairs for people to relax in. My husband, Luke, is here to oversee that stuff."

"We have some techie stuff that needs taken care of. There are seven DVD players that need to be set up to project 3-D images. There are also gels that need placed over the lights and directed at the correct area. I'm assuming you guys can figure out that the fire ones go to the volcanic areas, the water to places like Atlantis, etcetera. If you need help on this one? You'll probably wanna ask Luke again. I'm more likely to burn my fingers on the lights or short out the fuses or something."

"I can do electricity," Angel said. "Don't ask me to set up DVD players, but wires I'm good with. Not like getting accidentally electrocuted is a problem."

"There are a ton of balloons that need blown up and a helium tank. Please do not start doing whippets. We also have streamers to be hung everywhere, rosettes for the banisters, and lots and lots of glitter. There are some plants that we need placed around in the appropriate areas. And tableclothes and candles to be placed on the tables once they're put together. There are also floating candles that need placed in all the fountains and lit. This would be my area of expertise and my best advice is that you can never have enough glitter."

Angela decided the project involving glitter was the only one for her, and went to retrieve the baloons and helium to start decorating.

There was just one mystery. "Ms. Gilmore-Danes? What's a whippet?"

Lorelai chuckled. "It's something people do with a helium tank that gets them high," she explained. "And what are you doing in detention, Angela?"

Angela affixed a balloon to the nozzle and began to blow it up. As she did that, it was hard for her to contain a look of irritation. "I bumped into Ms. Skeeter and she got mad. I'm just glad she didn't turn me into a kangaroo, or something."

Callisto totally wasn't a pryomaniac. She just happened to appreicate a sanctioned opportunity to burn stuff.
