the pumpkins! They start out very much not on target, but after a few flings, Nadia gets them on track.

As for distance? Yeah, she's got mad distance. We're talking, like, more than a football field.

Duo gleefully sets up his modified Buster Rifle and Beam Saber mutation and starts firing pumpkins off with unbridled joy. He starts yelling commentary on the pumpkin flings and making sound effects.

His contraption, like Nadia's, has got football-field-length distance capabilities, but accuracy is a slight problem since pumpkins have totally different physical consequences than Energy Beams. Duo manages to get the pumpkins a bit closer to target after a few tries and sets about making modifications for next time for better accuracy. Because even if he never needs a pumpkin flinger at Fandom again, he's definitely sharing this back home.

Xander? Not so much with the football field. Small pumpkins make it about 250 feet, the larger ones not quite that far.

On the other hand, accuracy kind of rocks. Mostly because once the thing is in place, it doesn't exactly need re-aiming.

If you're thinking this results in Xander amusing himself by rapid-firing splatty wee gourds to his heart's content, you're not wrong.

Sam aimed her cannon at the target, adjusted for wind, and loaded her pumpkin. When she discharged it, it went a whole foot and a half, practically tipping out the end of the cannon and sploofing at her feet. "Damn it!"

Thoroughly disgusted with herself and kicking the dead pumpkin as she walked, she did a thorough check of the system and pulled the bolt out of the pneumatic hose. "Stupid. Just...stupid."

She loaded another pumpkin, and this one went far, missing the target by quite a few feet. Her accuracy wasn't fantastic, being too far to the right, but as soon as she turned the cannon to the left, and loaded another pumpkin, this one went the distance. Still went beyond the target, but it was straight. Just like with a rocket launcher.

John missed class on Monday. Whoops. So, he spends class period cleaning up all the pumpkin droppings to make up for it.
